Fastest ways to get an answer

  • WhatsApp a photograph of the document. That single message usually replaces three phone calls.
  • Tell us your state. Half of what we need to advise depends on which state you live in.
  • Say what the document is for, such as a passport or a job joining, not just what is wrong with it.
  • Call between 10 AM and 5 PM if you want to speak to someone straight away.
  • Email works for long histories, where you need to explain several documents at once.
  • You do not need to visit the office. Almost everything is handled remotely.

Every way to reach us

Four channels, one desk. Whichever you use, the same advisor picks up your file.

WhatsApp, the fastest

9540005064

Send a clear photograph of the document and one line about the problem. We reply the same working day, usually within a couple of hours. Best for anything where we need to see the paperwork before we can advise, which is most cases.

Phone, for a conversation

9540005002

Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Between 10 AM and 5 PM someone is almost always free. If we are with a client, leave a missed call and we ring back the same day.

Email, for the full story

support@documentadvisor.in

Use email when several documents are involved and you need to explain the history. Attach scans, tell us your state, and we reply with the route and the cost in writing.

Visit, if you prefer in person

Burari, Delhi 110084

You are welcome at the office, though almost nobody needs to come. Call first so the right person is there and your file is ready. Full directions are below.

Not sure which service you need? That is exactly what the first conversation is for, and it costs nothing. Describe the problem in your own words. Naming the right service at the start is the single biggest saving in this whole process.

Getting here

  • By metro: come out at Burari Metro Station and walk towards Metro Pillar No. 376. The Hanuman Mandir is the landmark. Turn into Gali No. 1 in Hardev Nagar and we are on the ground floor.
  • By auto or cab: ask for Hardev Nagar, Jharoda Majra, near Burari Metro Station. Drivers know the pillar numbers on this stretch better than the plot numbers, so say Pillar 376.
  • By car: street parking on Gali No. 1 is tight in the evening. Mornings are easier.
  • If you are lost: call 9540005002 and we will guide you from wherever you are standing.

One honest warning about visiting. Coming in person does not make your file move faster. Gazette publication, registration appointments and certificate offices run on their own timelines whether you are sitting here or at home. Come in if you would rather hand over documents face to face, not because you think it buys speed.

What to send with your first message

Five things turn a vague enquiry into a firm quote on the same day.

Send these five

  • A photograph of the problem document, flat and well lit, whole page in frame
  • One photo ID: Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID or Passport
  • Your state and city, because the route and the fees depend on it
  • What the document is for: passport, job joining, admission, bank, property
  • Your deadline, if you have one

You do not need these yet

  • Originals. Never post originals to anyone before you have agreed the work.
  • Payment. Nothing is charged until the route and the cost are confirmed with you.
  • A scanner. A clear phone photograph is fine.
  • Affidavits or stamp paper. If your case needs them, we prepare them.
  • A lawyer. Almost none of this work needs one, and we say so when it does.
Never send money or originals on a first message. Not to us, not to anyone. A genuine provider will quote you in writing first, split the Government fee from the service fee, and tell you what the Government fee buys before asking for anything.

After you contact us

Four steps, and you can stop after any of them at no cost.

You send the document

A photograph on WhatsApp, or a call describing the problem. No form filling, no account, no payment.

We name the right service

Which service, which office, and whether it is even ours. If your case belongs at a Registrar or an education board, we say so and point you there.

You get a written quote

Our service fee and the Government fee as two separate lines, with the timeline. You are free to walk away here, and plenty of people do.

We start work

Drafting, your written confirmation of the wording, filing, and the follow up until the document is in your hand.

The first two steps are free and carry no obligation. We would rather spend ten minutes telling you your case is a Registrar correction, and lose the enquiry, than take money for a gazette that will not solve your problem.

How quickly we reply

What to expect, honestly, rather than a promise of instant everything.

Typical response time by contact channel

Sunday or a holidayMonday morningNothing is lost, because Government offices are closed too.

Once your file is live, the timeline stops being about us and starts being about the office handling it. A Central Gazette notification commonly takes 30 to 45 days to publish, and no provider can shorten that. We tell you the realistic range at the quote stage rather than after you have paid.

Where we work

The office is in Delhi, and we file across the country. You do not need to be anywhere near Burari to work with us.

Words you may hear when we talk

So that nothing in the conversation sounds like it is designed to confuse you.

Government fee
Money that goes to a Government department, not to us. It is always quoted as a separate line from our service fee, and we tell you what it buys.
Service fee
What we charge for preparing, filing and following up your paperwork. Quoted in writing before any work starts.
Gazette notification
A formal announcement printed in the official journal of the Government. For a name change it is the proof that Aadhaar, PAN, passport offices and banks accept.
Central Gazette
The Gazette of India, published by the Department of Publication at Civil Lines, behind the Delhi Vidhan Sabha Metro Station, Delhi 110054. There is exactly one such office, so any other city quoting that pin code has copied a wrong address.
Part IV
The section of the Gazette of India that carries notices from private individuals rather than the Government. Every personal name change publishes here.
BharatKosh
The Non-Tax Receipt Portal at bharatkosh.gov.in. It is the only accepted channel for the Central Gazette fee, so if anyone asks you to pay that fee another way, stop.
Registrar correction
A correction to a birth or death record under Section 15 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969, made by the municipal body that issued the certificate. Not a gazette matter, and cheaper.
Affidavit
A written statement you swear is true, signed before a notary public. The starting point for most name and declaration work.
Notarisation
A notary public witnessing your signature. This happens in person, and it is the one step in most of our work that cannot be done remotely.
Self-attestation
Signing your own photocopy to confirm it matches the original. Most Government files ask for self-attested copies of your ID.
Non-refundable
Once a Government fee is paid and the file accepted, it is gone even if the outcome is wrong. This is why we confirm every spelling with you in writing first.
Turnaround
The realistic time from filing to the document in your hand, set by the office handling it rather than by us.

Contact questions

The things people ask before they get in touch.

What is the Documentadvisor phone number?+
Call 9540005002, Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. For WhatsApp, use 9540005064. Between 10 AM and 5 PM someone is almost always free to speak.
Where is the Documentadvisor office?+
Near Hanuman Mandir, Metro Pillar No. 376, near Burari Metro Station, Shop No. 2nd Ground Floor, Gali No. 1, Plot No. 31/12, Hardev Nagar, Jharoda Majra, Burari, Delhi 110084. Ask an auto driver for Pillar 376 in Hardev Nagar; the pillar numbers are better known locally than the plot numbers.
What are your working hours?+
Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Closed on Sundays and national holidays. Messages sent on a Sunday are read on Monday morning, and nothing is lost because Government offices are closed then too.
Is the first consultation free?+
Yes. Telling you which service you need, which office handles it and roughly what it costs is free and carries no obligation. If your case is not ours, we say so and point you to the right office at no charge.
What should I send in my first message?+
A clear photograph of the document causing the problem, one photo ID, your state and city, what the document is needed for, and your deadline if you have one. Those five things are usually enough for a firm quote the same day.
How quickly will you reply?+
WhatsApp usually within a couple of hours in working hours. Phone is answered live or called back the same day. Email the same working day, or the next morning if it arrives late. Sunday messages are answered Monday morning.
Do I have to visit your office?+
No. Almost everything is handled remotely through WhatsApp and post. Notarisation, biometric steps such as Aadhaar, and a sub-registrar appointment for property registration need a person present, and we tell you which of those your case involves before you commit.
Will visiting in person make my work faster?+
No, and we would rather say so. Gazette publication, registration appointments and certificate offices run on their own timelines. A Central Gazette notification commonly takes 30 to 45 days whether you are sitting in our office or at home.
Should I send money or original documents straight away?+
Never, to us or to anyone. A genuine provider quotes in writing first, separates the Government fee from the service fee, and explains what the Government fee buys. Hold your originals until the work is agreed.
Do you work in Hindi?+
Yes. English and Hindi both, on the phone and on WhatsApp. Tell us which you are more comfortable in and we will use it for the whole file, including the wording we send you to confirm.
Can you help if I live outside Delhi?+
Yes, we work across all 28 states and 8 Union Territories. Central Gazette work is filed in Delhi regardless of where you live. Some steps are unavoidably local, such as a sub-registrar appointment, and we tell you which part needs someone in your district.
Can you help if I live outside India?+
Yes. Email us your country and the document. Gazette applications from abroad carry a higher fee, commonly around Rs 7,500 to Rs 9,000, and documents are usually attested at the Indian mission or handled through a representative in India holding an authorisation from you.
Are you a Government office?+
No. Documentadvisor is a private documentation consultancy. We prepare and file paperwork with the relevant Government offices and charge a service fee for that work. The Government fee is paid to the Government and shown to you separately. We are not a law firm and we do not appear in court.
Will my documents be kept private?+
Yes. Your scans go to one advisor and one file, used only for your application. We do not resell your details and we do not add you to a marketing list. Originals come back to you once the file is accepted.
Who will I be speaking to?+
The Documentadvisor documentation desk. The same person handles your file from the first message to the finished document, on the number you first called, so you never repeat your case to somebody new.
What if I am not happy with the advice?+
Tell us plainly and we will explain our reasoning or change course. Before any work starts you can walk away at no cost. Once a Government fee is paid it is non-refundable, which is why we confirm every detail with you in writing first.
Do you offer a callback at a fixed time?+
Yes. Use the callback form on this page or send a WhatsApp saying when suits you. We will ring within that window during working hours.

Who you will be speaking to

The Documentadvisor documentation desk is the small team that actually files the paperwork, working out of the Burari office. When you call or send a WhatsApp, you reach the people who will handle your file, not a call centre passing you along. The same person stays with your case from the first photograph to the finished document.

We keep this page accurate because a wrong phone number or a stale address wastes your time. The contact details, hours and directions above are checked whenever anything changes, and the Government references we quote are checked against the sources listed below rather than copied from other websites.
